Sign up now for the NC Division’s Mid-Winter referee seminar and clinic!

This is the Official FOC Referee Seminar, a hands-on practical focus on current sabre and foil priority. The seminar instructor is Matthew Cox, an FIE-licensed referee, and USFA Certified Referee Instructor.

Day One will consists of the official referee seminar, required for all candidates wishing to take the exam for a national referee license. This seminar will also be a great refresher for any current referee wishing to stay fresh on current the latest national rules interpretations. The seminar will run from 9am until 5pm and will include a time for questions.

Day Two will consist of practical instruction in foil and sabre priority. This instruction will be in both a “lab” environment, and during controlled bouting situations. Participants are encouraged to bring fencing equipment to this portion of the seminar. Video refereeing will be discussed and demonstrated in this session. The clinic will run from 1pm until 6pm.

Cost: $50 for both days, $25 for one day
