Effective Immediately! Visor masks will no longer be allowed at USFA competitions at any level for Epee and Foil This is a safety decision precipitated by a release from the FIE. The North Carolina Division of the United State Fencing Association will be holding its team qualifiers for the Summer National Championships on March 21st in Durham at the Mid-South Fencers’ Club. All twelve adult and junior team events will be contested in the USFA relay format. The cost per team is $30 per event. Registration is on askfred.net. Registration will end on March 15th and late registration will not be allowed. The competition schedule is as follows: 9 am Men’s Epee Women’s Sabre Jr. Men’s Foil 11 am Jr. Men’s Epee Men’s Sabre Women’s Foil 2 pm Women’s Epee Jr. Women’s Sabre Men’s Foil 4 pm Jr. Women’s Epee Jr. Men’s Sabre Jr. Women’s Foil The Annual meeting and elections of the North Carolina Division will also occur at this event at 1:30 pm. In order to have a vote at the meeting, one must be a member of the USFA and 18 years of age by February 1, 2010. Those not attending may give their proxy to any member of the North Carolina Division in good standing. Proxy requests must be in submitted in writing to the secretary of the division at least 72 hours prior to the meeting. |
